Awards at the 2025 Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention Meeting in Denver, CO! 

All three of our outstanding postdocs, all of whom presented a poster and gave a talk at BDRP, were recognized for their efforts and received competitive awards.

Dr. Lin Li received the James G. Wilson Presentation Award, for top postdoc presentation titled, "Single-Cell Transcriptomic Profiling of Rat Embryos During Neurulation and Early Organogenesis Under Normal and Teratogenic Conditions".

 

 

Dr. Julia do Amaral Gomes received the James C. Bradford Memorial Student Poster Award for top poster, "Transcriptomic Characterization of Birth Defect-associated Genes during Early Embryogenesis" and the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention Innovator Award for her presentation, "An Integrative In Vitro and Transcriptomic Profiling Approach to Screen Environmental Chemicals for Developmental Neurotoxicity", in the Innovator Award Symposium.

 

 

 

 

Additionally, Dr. Mengjing Wang was a finalist in the Innovator Award competition with his presentation, Integrative Proteomic and In Silico Analysis of Perfluorooctanoic Acid Exposures in Primary Human Placental Cytotrophoblasts".

All three postdocs also received travel awards.
